Junior Rep Report- Round 8 (U17's and U19's) & Round 4 (U21's)

Storm's Jersey Flegg travelled to Wollongong over the weekend to face the Dragons while the SG Ball side hosted the Knights at Broadmeadows, with Harold Matthews having a bye.
Jersey Flegg
Melbourne's U21 side travelled to New South Wales over the weekend to take on the Dragons. The Storm outfit was overwhelmed early in the game, with the Dragons holding the visitors scoreless in the first half and putting a lot of pressure on Melbourne, leading 20-0 at half-time. However, the U21s came out in the second half as a renewed side, scoring early and building momentum to get back into the game. They were able to tie things up, with the match ending in a 26-26 draw.
Luke Cesari was a standout once again for the Jersey Flegg side, scoring a hat trick, including a vital try in the final minute to level the game. Siulagi Pio and Delacruz Ripley also impressed, both scoring tries in the second half.
Mark Russell's side still remains unbeaten and will look to continue their run of form this coming weekend when they travel to Sydney to take on the top-of-the-ladder Penrith Panthers.
SG Ball
The Storm's U19 side hosted the Knights on Saturday at Seabrook Reserve. The squad put in a strong effort, and the game remained tight throughout. However, Melbourne's U19s slightly lost momentum in the second half, which allowed the Knights to edge ahead and hold off the hosts with Storm going down 18-22.
Kobi Floro, Lockyer-Azile Foliola, and Jordan Hamlin were all dominant for SG Ball, while Riley Brannock had another strong game, showcasing his goal kicking accuracy.
SG Ball will be looking to bounce back this weekend and return to the winner’s circle. They will travel to Sydney this Saturday to take on the Cronulla Sharks.
